Modern naturopathy
Ursula Uhlemayr has been fascinated by the great healing power of nature since early childhood.
Her great passion is to pass on the traditional knowledge of naturopathy to our time and to continuously develop it further. One goal is to make these proven healing methods accessible to many people, from birth to old age, through their ease of application.
More than 35 years ago, she founded the company "Wickel & Co." and developed ready-to use body wrap sets for children and adults using high-quality natural materials. Awards such as "Best High Quality Medical Wraps Producer" and the "Green Brand" seal confirm the company's philosophy.
An important aspect of her work is a holistic approach. Meditation and mindfulness practices are, for her, valuable elements in strengthening health and can be ideally combined with body wraps and compresses.
Her many years of experience in naturopathically oriented clinics showed her that conventional medicine and complementary medicine can effectively complement each other for the benefit of the patient. This realization laid the foundation for her subsequent work. She supplemented her medical knowledge with training as a naturopathic practitioner.
For many years, in addition to developing new products, a major focus of her work has been on the management of Wickel & Co. and on teaching. As a lecturer in naturopathy and holistic health promotion, she offers lectures, seminars, and training courses, such as for "Body Wrap Experts".
Her innovations in the field of natural healing methods, "Body wraps and Compresses", were recognized with an award as "Health CEO of the Year 2018".
Ursula Uhlemayr is also the author of the bestseller "Wickel & Co.® – Bärenstarke Hausmittel für Kinder" (Effective naturopathy for children). In 2015, her latest book, "Body Wraps and Compresses," was published in collaboration with Dietmar Wolz by Deutscher Apotheker Verlag.
