Materials Science & Raw Materials

Choosing the right materials is not a minor matter when it comes to wraps and compresses, but crucial for their effectiveness.

That's why we pay attention to the highest quality, purity and sustainability for every single material.

Our principles

Our fabrics are laboratory tested for harmful substances and meet the high standards for use with infants and allergy sufferers. Printed or colored woven fabrics are treated exclusively with non-toxic dyes.

Our principles:

  • Only pure natural materials – no synthetics, as these can impair the effect of the wraps.
  • Certified quality (organic) – confirmed by manufacturer certificates
  • Member of the IVN (International Association for Natural Textiles)
  • Packaging made of paper or cardboard – durable, reusable and sustainable

Cotton

This versatile natural fiber is particularly suitable for wrapping applications:

  • skin-friendly, durable, heat-retaining
  • easily washable and comfortable to wear

Cultivation & Processing:

Our cotton comes from known, organically controlled cultivation (kbA) – without pesticides, without defoliants, without genetic engineering.

The harvest is done by hand, the fibers are mechanically ginned, and then processed into yarn in spinning mills. We use undyed cotton – this way, natural characteristics such as small plant remnants remain visible.

beeswax

A tried and tested classic for gentle warmth and comfort:

  • It has a warming, soothing and gentle effect on the skin.
  • Ideal for coughs, colds, muscle tension, osteoarthritis or as a liver compress.

Interesting facts:

The wax is produced by the wax glands of worker bees. It has a wide range of biological uses – in wrapping paper, candles, food, and natural cosmetics. Furthermore, the pollination services provided by bees are invaluable for nature and agriculture.

Healing wool

Our healing wool combines nature, craftsmanship and tradition:

  • breathable, warming, skin-friendly
  • versatile use in diapers and pillows

Origin & Processing:

The wool comes from Merino sheep raised in species-appropriate, free-range conditions. Shearing is done traditionally and gently. The wool is washed with soda, which cleans it without stripping it of its natural oils. The fleeces are then carded and further processed by us.

Linen

Ideal as an inner cloth for diaper changes:

  • It conducts body heat well, but also retains it.
  • It absorbs moisture, is robust and pleasant on the skin.

Origin & environmental impact:

Our linen comes from France, Belgium and the Netherlands – short distances, fair conditions.

Cultivation is soil-friendly, fertilizer-free, and without pesticides. Biodegradable and certified according to at least Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1.

Organic sheep's wool (kbT)

Our sheep's wool from controlled organic animal husbandry is ideally suited as an outer fabric:

  • warms, retains moisture, adapts to the body shape
  • high thermal effect

Processing:

As with the medicinal wool, this wool also comes from Merino sheep raised outdoors.

It is traditionally sheared, washed in an environmentally friendly way and further processed (felted, fulled, finished) in our vicinity according to ecological guidelines.
